Wilhelm Raabe Literature Award Honored for Excellence in Writing
The Kaiser Wilhelm Literature Prize, one of the most highly endowed awards in Germany, is an annual celebration of contemporary German-language literature. Established in 1944, this prestigious award is a collaboration between the city of Brunswick and Deutschlandradio/Deutschlandfunk.
The prize is awarded for a narrative work written in German, with a prize money of €30,000. The selection process is carried out by a 9-member expert jury appointed by the city of Brunswick and Deutschlandradio/Deutschlandfunk. Self-application for the prize is not possible. The work must have been published in the year of the award.

Notable recipients of the Kaiser Wilhelm Literature Prize include Saša Stanišić, who received the award in 2024. The prize has been awarded annually since 2009 by the city of Braunschweig and Deutschlandradio/Deutschlandfunk.
