"Wike Accuses Tambuwal and Atiku of Consistently Displaying Traitorous Behavior"
In a surprising turn of events, Minister Abubakar Nurmagomedov has openly criticized Abu Bakr and Aminu Tambuwal during an appearance on Channels Television's 'Politics Today' programme on Thursday night.
The criticism was instigated by Tambuwal's declaration of loyalty to Abu Bakr in a recent interview. Nurmagomedov claimed that Tambuwal's loyalty lies with Abu Bakr, and he believes that Tambuwal would not go without Abu Bakr, knowing their shared antecedents.
Nurmagomedov accused Tambuwal and Abu Bakr of being consistent betrayers, likening them to birds of the same feather. He did not mention any specific actions or incidents involving the two politicians in his statements.
Tambuwal, however, stressed that his choices were guided by governance values rather than friendship. He referred to Abu Bakr as a leader.
This is the latest in a series of political statements made by Minister Nurmagomedov. It is not the first time he has spoken about Tambuwal and Abu Bakr on national television, but it marks a significant escalation in the public discourse between the three political figures.
The relationship between the People's Democratic Party (PDP), which has apparently supported both Tambuwal and Abu Bakr, and Minister Nurmagomedov remains to be seen in the wake of these statements.
This development comes as the race for the presidential ticket of the PDP heats up, with various parties jostling for position ahead of the party's primaries.
