Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have extended their creative partnership with Netflix, moving from their original output deal to a more focused first-look agreement. This new arrangement, signed with Archewell Productions, will focus on film and television projects as well as expanding Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, in collaboration with Netflix.

Key projects under this new deal include the second season of Meghan’s lifestyle and cooking series, 'With Love, Meghan', which premiered in August 2025 and became Netflix’s most-watched culinary show with over 5 million viewers. A holiday special titled With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration is also due for release in December 2025.

Netflix will also release Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, a documentary short produced by Campfire Studios and Archewell Productions, in late 2025. Other previous hits include Harry & Meghan and Heart of Invictus.

The shift to a first-look deal signals Netflix’s continued interest but possibly more limited exclusivity compared to the original multi-project commitment. Doug Eldridge, a branding expert, has commented on the evolution of Meghan’s Netflix deal, congratulating Harry and Meghan on avoiding a worse setback by not focusing on reality/pseudo-doc categories.

The expanded relationship around the 'As Ever' lifestyle brand is expected to generate revenue for both Harry and Meghan. However, the financial aspects of the deal have not been disclosed, leading to some speculation about a perceived 'downgrade' in the deal. Doug Eldridge, in his comments, did not indicate any concerns about this lack of disclosure.

As for the future, Eldridge is uncertain about the potential for a bidding war now that the exclusivity clause is set to expire. Nevertheless, Netflix executives have expressed enthusiasm about the Sussexes’ influence and the positive reception to their content and product lines.

In summary, while Harry and Meghan’s overall Netflix deal has evolved, their creative projects, especially Meghan's 'With Love, Meghan' and the lifestyle brand 'As Ever', continue to be a central part of the partnership with promising future prospects. The deal remains active and significant, but Netflix appears to be recalibrating the scope and scale of its investment.
