Wicked Musical Adaptation Preview Unveils Alterations in Upcoming Film

It wasn't that long ago when we were rebelling against the pull of gravity with the unveiling of Wicked: Part One a year ago, but now we've got a sneak peek of what's coming up next as Jon M. Chu gives us one final voyage to Oz – and sets the stage for a reunion that promises we, Elphaba, and Glinda alike will be forever changed... for good.

In celebration of Wicked's short-lived return to theaters, Universal has dropped the first trailer for Wicked: For Good, which will bring the second act of the legendary musical to life on the big screen.

Picking up where we left off at the conclusion of Part One, with Elphaba labeled an enemy of the Ozian empire by Madame Morrible and the Wizard, and fleeing the Emerald City, leaving Glinda in her wake, For Good will follow Elphaba on her hunt for magic in the Grimmerie and her life on the lam, all while Glinda grapples with internal strife upon being taken in to assume the role of another witch in her friend's place.

As the story of The Wizard of Oz starts to unfold, with Elphaba's destiny as the Wicked Witch of the West looming and her eventual defeat at Dorothy and her companions' hands, prepare yourself for drama, twists, and, needless to say, plenty of serenades as we gear up for Wicked's grand finale.

Wicked: For Good will see the comeback of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, joined by Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Bode, Ethan Slater, and more, and is currently slated to hit theaters November 21.
