It's that time again in January - Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Returns with a Record €3 Million Jackpot in January 2026

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is bringing back its high-stakes 3 Million Euro Week for the tenth time. The popular RTL quiz, hosted by Günther Jauch since 1999, will offer Germany’s biggest-ever game show prize. Contestants will battle it out over four nights, with the grand finale set for January 9, 2026.

The special event kicks off on January 5, 2026, with a fresh group of players aiming for the record-breaking top prize. To reach the final, contestants must secure at least €16,000 in their initial rounds. The show has never awarded the three million euro jackpot in previous editions of the 3 Million Euro Week.

The 3 Million Euro Week runs from January 5 to January 9, 2026, with the final deciding who takes home the top prize. Contestants must first win €16,000 to qualify for the last round. The show’s history suggests the three million euro jackpot will remain unclaimed—unless this year breaks the trend.
