White House tournament fight proposal by Jorge Masvidal is on the table.
In a recent interview on the CasinoHawks podcast, UFC veteran Jorge Masvidal has expressed his strong support for a potential super-fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall, suggesting that the White House lawn would be the ideal venue for this monumental matchup.
Masvidal, known for his straightforward approach, has made it clear that he only wants to see Jon Jones fight if it is against Aspinall. He believes that Jones, despite recent teasing about a comeback without much action, should exclusively face Aspinall if he returns to the octagon. Masvidal expressed his high regard for both fighters, stating that they are the ones he wants to see in the ring.
Masvidal also voiced his disappointment about the current UFC heavyweight title setup, questioning the decision to have Ciryl Gane face Aspinall for the undisputed heavyweight belt. He hinted that other fighters might be more deserving of the opportunity.
In a bold move, Masvidal proposed setting the potential Jones vs. Aspinall fight for the 4th of July, making it a patriotic American vs. Brit matchup. He further emphasised the importance of Jones' preparation for the fight, stating that if Jones works hard for a year, he could beat anyone.
Tom Aspinall, known for his dedication to training, has been giving his all every day, preparing for potential opponents like Jones. The potential super-fight, if it comes to fruition, would undoubtedly be a spectacle, headlining a historic UFC event on the White House lawn.
