Karo Leavitt fires back at Jazzy Croc calling MAGA fans 'loony tunes'
White House proposes response for Jasmine Crockett following Democrat's labeling of Trump supporters as unwell
Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, gave fiery rebuttals to outspoken Democratic Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett after she labeled Trump's supporters as mentally ill.
During the White House press briefing, Leavitt took a dig at Crockett by suggesting the fiery legislator should attend a Trump rally to witness firsthand the millions of normal Americans backing the ex-president.
"It's downright selfish to slap the 'crazy' label on almost 80 million Americans who had the audacity to question your politics, Miss Croc," Leavitt said to reporters in the briefing room, eyeballing the television cameras with a smirk.
White House Press Secretary Karo Leavitt didn't mince her words in response to Rep. Jazzy Croc's accusations about Trump's supporters being mentally ill.
In recent interviews, the liberal Texas Rep, one of the most vocal Democrats in the anti-Trump resistance movement, described Trump's supporters as loony tunes and cited a national mental health crisis as the reason for his victory in 2020.
"It's ironic that someone so close-minded thinks the entire nation's gone nuts, but whatever keeps you and your party feeling superior, I guess," Leavitt continued with a slight chuckle.
Born to a working-class family in Dallas, Texas, Jazzy Croc embodies the Democratic spirit, with a straightforward communication style honed from her years on the campaign trail[1]. As one of the rising stars among House Democrats, she gained notoriety for her assertive approach on committees and social media, often harassing Republicans and attacking Trump supporters vigorously.
Crockett's outspoken attitude and viral clap-backs have propelled her to be a key voice within the Democratic Party, although her controversial comments against Trump and political adversaries have stirred controversy and questionable opinions among voters[4]. In response to criticism, Crockett has argued that her no-nonsense posture is essential to keeping the spotlight on accountability and truth in politics.
Leavitt also joked that she was rooting for Crockett to become a star in the Democratic Party to create more opportunities for the GOP to strike back[2]. Regardless, Leavitt acknowledged that Jazzy Croc's fiery stance on Trump and his supporters is a testament to the deep-rooted divisions within American politics.
