In a surprising move, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany revealed that President Donald Trump is open to a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, as long as it's necessary. McEnany made these statements in response to questions regarding a potential three-way meeting in Turkey.

"The President has shown his willingness if it comes to that. But he wants both these leaders, both these sides, to sit down together at the table. We've seen them do that today at the insistence of President Trump," McEnany stated.

The call for direct talks between Zelensky and Putin comes after a delay in earlier peace negotiations between the two nations. When asked for her thoughts on President Trump's assessment of the recent drone attack by Ukrainian forces, McEnany stated simply, "This war needs to end."

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his desire to assemble Putin, Zelensky, and Trump in Istanbul or Ankara.
