British Royals' Popularity Ranking Revealed in YouGov Survey

According to a recent YouGov survey conducted between August 5 and 6, 2025, the British public's favourability towards the British royals has been revealed. The survey sheds light on the current popularity ranking of the royal family members.

Prince William, at 43 years old, takes the top spot with a favourability rating of 74%. His wife, Kate Middleton, also 43 and known as the Princess of Wales, follows closely behind in second place with a rating of 71%. Princess Anne, at 74 years old, ranks third with a favourability rating of 70%.

King Charles III, at 76 years old, holds a moderate position with 59% favourability. Prince Edward, a respected member of the royal family, stands at 52% favourability.

Interestingly, the survey does not focus on the least popular royals, such as Prince Andrew, who has consistently received negative ratings. In the latest poll, Prince Andrew's ratings remain at a dismal 7%, a figure that has barely changed since his 2019 "Newsnight" interview.

The survey also reveals that the royal family as a whole enjoys a positive image, with 62% of respondents expressing positive opinions. Princess Anne, often referred to as the "working princess" for her dedication to her royal duties, is well-regarded as a respected representative of the crown.

Support for the monarchy as an institution remains relatively strong, with approximately 58% of Britons supporting it. However, support varies strongly by age group.

Camilla, Queen Consort, receives 43% positive opinions and 44% negative opinions among respondents in the survey. Another 13% of respondents said they don't know about their opinion of Camilla.

The survey was conducted by the British market and opinion research institute YouGov. It reflects a slight change from previous years, where Kate Middleton had sometimes been ranked the top favourite, but she was narrowly surpassed by Prince William in the latest poll. King Charles’ popularity has shown some gradual improvement from past years.

This ranking underscores the enduring appeal of the British royals, particularly Prince William and Catherine, who continue to maintain a modern and engaging image.

Entertainment news outlets are abuzz with discussions about the new popularity ranking of the royals, following a recent YouGov survey. Celebrities and pop-culture enthusiasts around the world eagerly await the results of this poll, as it sheds light on the public's favourability towards the British royal family members.
