When does the sixth episode of 'Dexter: Resurrection' start streaming and where can it be watched?
In the gripping world of Dexter: Resurrection, Michael C. Hall reprises his iconic role as Dexter Morgan, the forensics analyst and vigilante serial killer from the original Showtime series. The series, set in New York City, finds Dexter on a mission to locate his estranged son, Harrison (Jack Alcott), who believes he was responsible for his father's death at the end of Dexter: New Blood.
The first two episodes of Dexter: Resurrection were released simultaneously on Friday, July 11, 2025, on Paramount+ Premium, with new episodes following weekly on Fridays at 12:01 AM ET. Cable viewers can catch the episodes on Sunday nights at 8 PM ET/PT on Showtime.
In the third episode, titled Backseat Driver, Dexter crosses paths with Mia LaPierre/Lady Vengeance (Krysten Ritter), an infamous serial killer known for her thrill-seeking murders. Mia's chilling confession to Dexter about her enjoyment of murdering people causes Dexter to target her.
Meanwhile, billionaire philanthropist Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage) and his associate, Charley (Uma Thurman), invite Dexter to macabre gatherings of serial killers, including Gareth/The Gemini Killer (David Dastmalchian), Lowell/The Tattoo Collector (Neil Patrick Harris), and Al/Rapunzel (Eric Stonestreet).
As Dexter becomes more entangled with Mia, her arrest does not lead to any further developments regarding his identity as Ronald "Red" Schmidt/Dark Passenger or his rideshare killer activities. However, Dexter plants Ryan Foster's watch among Mia's victim trophies to exonerate Harrison as a suspect in Foster's murder.
The tension between Dexter and Mia develops into a potential romance in the fifth episode, titled Murder Horny. Prater, fearing exposure by Mia to authorities, orders Charley to visit Mia in custody to assure her that her situation will be resolved.
The upcoming sixth episode, titled Cats and Mouse, will begin streaming on Paramount+ Premium on Friday, Aug. 8, at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 PT and debut on cable's Showtime on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The events of the fifth episode do not affect the release schedule for Dexter: Resurrection Episode 6.
