Wheelchair User Tragedy at Bad Nauheim Crosswalk
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Bad Nauheim, Hesse, Germany, where an elderly man in a wheelchair lost his life after being struck by a truck at a crosswalk. The 87-year-old passed away en route to the hospital upon sustaining fatal injuries during the mishap, which took place on Wednesday, as reported by police in Giessen.
The striking incident happened when the 61-year-old truck driver attempted to make a left turn at the intersection behind the crosswalk. Unbeknownst to him, the wheelchair user had just crossed the street with the assistance of his 81-year-old wife. The man in the wheelchair was unfortunately dragged a few meters into the intersection by the truck, leaving his wife in a state of shock.
