The popular dating show First Dates – Ein Tisch für 2 is taking a temporary break from filming. Fans can still expect new episodes in 2026, as the production team has already stockpiled enough material to cover next year’s broadcasts. Host Roland Trettl confirmed the pause but reassured viewers that filming will restart soon.

Roland Trettl has led the German version of First Dates since March 2018. The show’s production halt was planned, with enough pre-recorded episodes ready to air through 2026. This break allows the team to prepare for future seasons without rushing.

Earlier, Trettl had told fans that filming would return by summer 2027 at the latest. However, the schedule has now moved forward. Production is set to resume in the second quarter of 2026, ensuring a steady flow of new content. The show will remain on VOX and RTL+, continuing its run well beyond 2026. Viewers won’t face interruptions, as the existing episodes will fill the gap until fresh ones arrive.

New episodes of First Dates – Ein Tisch für 2 will return to screens in 2026, supported by the backlog of pre-filmed material. With production restarting in mid-2026, the show’s future on VOX and RTL+ remains secure. Fans can look forward to more dates and stories in the coming years.
