The Crown Prince of Denmark, Frederik (55), found himself in the center of controversy after photos surfaced of him with a blonde woman in Madrid in October. The woman, Genoveva Casanova, was reportedly not only a dining companion and art exhibit visitor with Crown Princess Mary's husband, but also allegedly spent the night with him and left her apartment the following morning.

Interestingly, Genoveva is no ordinary individual. She gained fame in Spain through television appearances and a cooking show. The spark of curiosity arose, who is this blonde woman and what connection does she share with Denmark and Crown Prince Frederik?

It has now been revealed that Genoveva has a striking connection to the Danish Royal Family. She has two wealthy third cousins in Denmark, Johanne Riegels Østergård and Marie Riegels Melchior, who hail from the Reimann family. This family acquired significant historical and economic prominence through shipbuilding.

Arnold Eugen Reimann, Genoveva's great-grandfather, was a renowned shipowner who founded shipping companies like A/S Motortramp and Dampskibsselskabet Orient. These companies later merged with D/S Norden, where descendants still hold substantial shares.

The wealthy Reimann family also owns the Stensbygaard estate in Denmark, established in 1923 by Arnold Eugen Reimann. Today, the estate is turned into an equestrian hotel, while providing services like lamb, wool, and hunting licenses.

Genoveva shares a maternal grandmother (Lykte Reimann Nyeboe) with one of the sisters (Marie Riegels Melchior) and a maternal great-grandmother with both sisters. Although these women lead a private life and haven't revealed much, they are active as board members and directors in the family's shipping companies.

While Johanne Riegels Østergård and Marie Riegels Melchior remain private and elusive in the midst of this royal scandal, they appear to share a bond with Genoveva, as shown through a comment on her Instagram post announcing her visit to Copenhagen.

Despite the heated suspicions and controversies surrounding their relationship, Genoveva firmly denies any romantic entanglement with Crown Prince Frederik. She insists that their friendship began through shared acquaintances and that the infamous photos simply depicted a friendly outing for an art exhibition in Madrid, disregarded by her Spanish spouse's sudden illness.

However, the absence of comments from Genoveva's wealthy third cousins and the Danish court has only compounded the controversy, feeding speculations and damaging the Royal Family's reputation. The public awaits further clarification from the involved parties to determine the true nature of Genoveva's connection to the Danish Royal Family.
