Wests Tigers shatter Warriors' unbeaten NRL streak with 32-14 upset

Wests Tigers have ended the Warriors' unbeaten start to the 2026 NRL season with a convincing 32-14 victory in Auckland. The Tigers overcame a 10-point deficit to dominate the second half and secure their second win of the campaign. The Warriors started strongly, with fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad crossing for the first try. Jacob Laban soon added a second, and Tanah Boyd's conversion extended the lead to 10-0 midway through the opening half.

The Tigers fought back before halftime, withoyce Hunt scoring their third try to give them a narrow 16-10 advantage at the break. Their momentum continued in the second half, as they ran in six tries to the Warriors' three. Adam Pompey was sin-binned for a high tackle on Faaletino Tavana, but the Tigers' discipline and attack proved too strong. They finished with a tackle-break count of 50-18, underlining their dominance. Coach Benji Marshall later praised his side's resilience and fighting spirit after the comeback win.

The result leaves the Tigers with two wins and one loss from their opening three matches of the 2026 season. Meanwhile, the Warriors suffer their first defeat after a previously perfect start to the campaign.
