West Bengal Launches BLO Training Ahead of SIR; Banerjee Rally on November 4
West Bengal has initiated training programs for Block Level Officers (BLOs) ahead of the Special Summary Revision (SIR) exercise. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee will helm a rally in Kolkata on November 4, coinciding with the start of the SIR exercise in the state and 12 other regions.
The rally, slated to commence at Red Road and conclude at Jorasanko in central Kolkata, is anticipated to attract substantial attention. BLOs, predominantly educators, have expressed worries about their safety and the lack of 'on duty' permission during the SIR exercise, which could potentially impede their school responsibilities. The identity of the individual who voiced these worries remains uncertain.
The SIR exercise, commencing on November 4, will see BLOs play a pivotal role. Their training has commenced, but security worries and potential interference with school duties persist as issues to be tackled. The rally led by Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee is set to occur on the same day, underscoring the political significance of the SIR exercise.
