In an exciting turn of events, the upcoming exhibition at Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden will feature a special screening of the highly-anticipated film, "The Phoenix Forgery," by acclaimed Danish artist and filmmaker, Magnus Andersen. The exhibition, titled "L'éducation régionale," will run from September 2nd to October 15th, with the film being shown on August 22nd.

The film, a tragicomedy that captivates with its star-studded ensemble and original story, has been making waves in the film industry. Wes Anderson's latest work is set to be screened at the "Films in the Castle" series, with Benicio del Toro playing the lead role of Zsa-Zsa Korda.

Zsa-Zsa Korda, the film's protagonist, wakes up in a cornfield after a plane crash, questioning the future and the succession of his empire. The film's ensemble cast includes Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, and others.

The German Film Fund and the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg significantly supported the production of "The Phoenix Forgery," which had its world premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, competing for the Palme d'Or. Studio Babelsberg also contributed production and filming locations for the film.

In addition to the screening at Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden, "The Phoenix Forgery" will be shown at the SCHIFF Open-Air Cinema, held from August 17th to September 2nd, 2023, at the Schiersteiner Harbour and the lawn area next to the Reduit. The film will also be screened at the Schloss Biebrich on August 22nd at 8 PM. Tickets are available online, by email, by phone, or at the box office, with the original version shown with German subtitles.

As for Wes Anderson's signature style, "The Phoenix Forgery" fits right in, featuring meticulously composed frames, pastel-colored sets, and a retro-fantasy atmosphere. Other films to be screened in the series include "Barbie," "Oppenheimer," and "Manta Manta."

Meanwhile, in a separate event, Alfred Hitchcock's classic "The Wrong Man" will be shown on April 21st in the Biebricher Schloss as part of the "Films in the Castle" series.

While there is currently no verified information available about the plot or background of "The Phoenix Forgery," its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and the support it has received from major film funds suggest that it is a film not to be missed. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new project!
