Wembley is probing allegations that individuals bypassed ticket checks to attend an Oasis concert unlawfully
Ongoing Investigation at Wembley Stadium Over Alleged Unauthorised Entry at Oasis Concerts
London's iconic Wembley Stadium is currently investigating claims that up to 200 fans managed to sneak into the Oasis concerts without valid tickets during the band's Live 25 reunion tour in July.
According to reports, these individuals paid around £350 each to be smuggled in through a disabled entrance, using copies of the same ticket and a hand-stamping system to bypass security checks. Upon entry, they were given golden circle (VIP) wristbands, granting them access to the VIP area in front of the stage.
Wembley Stadium authorities have stated that entering without a ticket is a serious offense, and if the claims are substantiated, the evidence will be passed to the Metropolitan Police for further action. The police may open an investigation into the incident following these reports.
The band, Oasis, has expressed their condolences after the death of fan, 45-year-old Lee Claydon, at one of the Wembley gigs. However, the ongoing investigation has cast a shadow over the reunion tour, leading to controversy over dynamic pricing and a lack of transparency.
Despite the controversy, Oasis still has several UK tour dates scheduled, including Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park. The band will also return to Wembley Stadium for two nights on 27 and 28 September.
Six people were arrested for suspected unauthorized entry across the five shows, and 24 were ejected for the same reason. One person who managed to sneak in told The Sun that they were given tickets with the same number and a woman drew a shape on their hands.
This is an ongoing situation as of August 2025, with investigations underway by both Wembley Stadium authorities and the Metropolitan Police. Tickets for the band's upcoming shows have sold out quickly, and the cost of attending one of the gigs has surged due to high demand.
