Weekly Wednesday show welcomes the return of host Stefan Raab
Stefan Raab, the popular German entertainer, is set to host a new late-night show titled "The Stefan Raab Show" on RTL. The show will air in a 75-minute format on Wednesday evenings, with its regular broadcast commencing on September 24, 2025, following initial preview episodes from September 15, 2025.
Inga Leschek, the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of RTL Germany, expressed her excitement about the upcoming top entertainment and Raab's unique humor, curiosity, and sharp commentary on the week. She said, "We are looking forward to an entertaining and thought-provoking series that will surely captivate our audience."
Raab has been teasing the TV industry with self-promotions leading to five weekly live mini-episodes each weekday at 8:15 PM. However, these mini-episodes are not part of "The Stefan Raab Show."
Contrary to previous statements, Raab will not be challenging "TV Total" with Sebastian Pufpaff on ProSieben every Tuesday at 8:15 PM. Instead, the show will air following the magazine "stern TV" at 9:30 PM on RTL.
Each episode of "The Stefan Raab Show" will focus on current and socially relevant topics and events. The new show will incorporate street interviews, stand-ups, and spontaneous studio actions, promising an engaging and interactive viewing experience.
Raab humorously mentioned that all jokes and entertainment segments are previously tested and approved by the BFU (Federal Entertainment Center). He joked, "Even my jokes are subject to scrutiny these days!"
Production of the show will be handled by Raab Entertainment, ensuring a personal touch to the content. Raab stated, "I'm excited to bring a fresh perspective to late-night TV shows and engage with viewers in a way that only I can."
With "The Stefan Raab Show," Raab aims to deliver a unique blend of entertainment, humour, and insightful commentary, making Wednesday evenings on RTL a must-watch for viewers seeking a dynamic and engaging viewing experience.
