"I don't even know if we could pay the price that Liverpool seems to have to pay," Eberl said from the team quarters in Orlando.
Although Eberl confirmed that the entire club highly valued Wirtz, the young player chose Liverpool over Bayern in the end. "We communicated that the player is exceptional. And that we could easily envision him joining FC Bayern. Now he has decided differently, although the conversations were promising."
