Weekly recap: occurrences from April 21st to April 27th, 2025
Get ready for another week of speed limit checks
The traffic division of the South East Hesse police headquarters is back at it this week, ramping up speed limit enforcement. The focus will be on trouble spots and accident prone areas, including construction zones, to boost traffic safety and reduce the risk of accidents.
🚀 Speeding on the A66
The construction zone on the A66 between Hanau and Fulda is a priority. Speed checks will be conducted at the Bad Soden-Salmünster interchange on Monday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The area's narrowed lanes and high traffic volume make it a hazard for all motorists.
🔊 Be aware on the B43a
Pay close attention on the B43a between Hanau and Dieburg. Measurements will take place before the Hanau-Hafen interchange, near a noise barrier - a known danger spot. Speed checks are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and the entire weekend from April 26 to 27.
🚗 More checks on county and state roads
County and state roads are not being ignored. On Thursday, April 24, the K903 road between Niedermittlau and Rothenbergen, an accident hotspot, will be under scrutiny. Concurrently, the A45 at the Pfingstweide rest area will have speed checks installed at a control point.
🚗 Even more checking points
On Friday, April 25, the K174 between Dietzenbach and Rodgau, as well as the L3262 between Zeppelinheim and Buchschlag, will also be targeted. Both routes have a history of wild, unpredictable accidents.
