Weekend weather prediction in Primorye: Forecasters forecast rivers to stay on their banks as rain subsides

In the coastal city of Vladivostok and the surrounding Primorsky Krai, residents can expect a mix of weather conditions over the weekend.

On Saturday, temperatures are set to reach a high of +26°C, with southeasterly winds making it a fresh day. However, fog and drizzle are expected along the coast, and there may be light rain showers. The weather is expected to remain cloudy with clearings and possible drizzle at night.

In contrast, Sunday will see a slight increase in temperatures, with the mercury rising a couple of degrees. The coast of Primorye is forecasted to reach up to +27°C, and the skies will be mostly cloudy but dry. No precipitation is expected to remain in Vladivostok on Sunday.

Despite the above-normal rainfall experienced in the region, flooding has been contained, with only localized incidents reported. Terney in Primorsky Krai received 127 percent of its monthly normal precipitation, but the hydrological system managed to accommodate the excess water, causing only limited river flooding and localized evacuations rather than major flood events.

The region's terrain, river capacity, soil absorption, and drainage infrastructure likely played a significant role in preventing large-scale flooding. No flooding is predicted in Vladivostok either.

As for other events, there are no projects discussions with the public mentioned in the context of Vladivostok. Additionally, the weather forecast does not predict any celebrations for Governor Dmitry Demezhin's Birthday in Vladivostok. No earthquakes or FinTech changes have been reported in the region either.

Looking ahead to Monday, the weather forecast indicates no significant changes in temperature or precipitation for both Vladivostok and Primorye. The region as a whole received between 30 to 73 percent of its monthly normal precipitation, suggesting that the rainy spell may be coming to an end.
