Weekend Shines: Mainly Sunny Conditions This Summer Season
Hot and Dry Weather Sweeps Northern Germany this Weekend
Northern Germany is set to experience hot and dry conditions this weekend, with temperatures soaring to the high 20s to low 30s degrees Celsius.
According to the latest weather forecast, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein will see temperatures ranging around 28–32 degrees. The region is expected to remain mostly dry, with low chances of precipitation due to the dominance of a strong Heat Dome pushing stable, hot weather over much of Europe.
Similar warm conditions are predicted for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Baltic Sea coastal areas, with temperatures near 30 degrees. Precipitation chances remain low as the heatwave extends northward but does not strongly affect Northern Germany with rain this weekend.
The overall pattern is influenced by a major Heat Dome over Europe, causing a prolonged heatwave from southern to parts of northern Europe, including parts of Germany. While southern and central Europe are seeing extreme heat reaching low 40s degrees, Northern Germany experiences somewhat milder but still above-average summer temperatures.

On Friday, Northern Germany will enjoy increasingly summery weather. In Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, temperatures will reach 27 degrees, with sun and clouds alternating. On the Baltic Sea in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, temperatures will be between 22 to 25 degrees.

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saturday's high temperatures will be between 26 to 28 degrees, with plenty of sunshine. On the islands, Saturday's high temperature will be 23 degrees.

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the wind will blow from the northwest, and temperatures will be 21 to 24 degrees on the Baltic Sea. Lows will be around 16 degrees on the islands, otherwise between 8 and 12 degrees, and between 10 and 15 degrees in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The wind will be light.
There is a slight risk of thunderstorms on the North Sea, but overall, there is no strong indication of significant rainfall or storms in these northern German regions during the weekend.
