Waveriders Hoaloha Tailgate Fundraiser Set for Saturday
The Waveriders Hoaloha Tailgate Fundraiser is taking place this Saturday at Kealakehe High School, offering a fun-filled day for the whole community. The event, which runs from 3-6 p.m., aims to support the Waverider football program and includes ono grindz, games, beverages, and live music by award-winning artists LT Smooth and Bill Noble.
The football program is seeking support through donations at the fundraiser. These donations will help fund the Waveriders' upcoming voyage to Maui High School on Aug. 9, as well as contribute to team needs such as equipment, travel, uniforms, and facility maintenance. Donations will also assist with strength and conditioning, nutrition, and student-athlete resources.
For those unable to attend Saturday's fundraiser, donations can be sent to Kealakehe High School.
In addition to the fundraiser, the Big Island Pop Warner Football Conference is holding a cheer camp this Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. The cheer camp, which takes place at Kamehameha-Hawaii's Middle School La'amea Gymnasium, is open to cheerleaders aged 3-18. The day will include safety drills, stunts, dynamic stretches, dance classes, and more. Registration for the cheer camp will be held from 8-8:30 a.m.
For any questions regarding the Waveriders Hoaloha Tailgate Fundraiser or the cheer camp, contact BIPWFC Cheer Commissioner Nelly Calamayan at [email protected] or 960-3232. The Waveriders Hoaloha Tailgate Fundraiser is open to all, so come along and show your support for the Waverider football team!
The Waverider football program encourages everyone to attend the Waveriders Hoaloha Tailgate Fundraiser to support their upcoming sports match against Maui High School. Additionally, those who can't make it can still contribute to the team's needs, including equipment, travel, and uniforms, by sending donations to Kealakehe High School.
