Week 2 Football Fixtures Highlighted in Germantown and Clifton, as Reported by 7News

This week, high school football teams in DC, Maryland, and Virginia will resume their season with a number of exciting matchups. Here's a roundup of some of the key games to watch out for.

On Friday night, Damascus will take on Wootton at 6:30 p.m., while St. John's will face St. Mary's Ryken at 7 p.m. Springbrook will square off against Wheaton at the same time, and Northwest will play Wood Park, having lost to them in their last game, while Churchill emerged victorious against Bethesda-Chevy Chase.

St. Albans will play at Jackson-Reed, Rockville will face Poolesville, and Bladensburg will play at Bowie, all at 7 p.m. Good Counsel will travel to Middletown, and South Lakes will play Battlefield, also at 7 p.m. Gar-Field will take on North Stafford, and Dunbar will play Woodbridge, both at 7 p.m. as well.

In a regional matchup, Northwest and Churchill will face off, with the game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The matchup between Centreville and Yorktown will take place in Virginia, also at 7 p.m. KIPP will play at Friendly, Potomac will face Brooke Point, and Anacostia will play at Roosevelt, all at 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., and 6 p.m., respectively.

In other games, St. Michael the Archangel will play at Paul VI, and DeMatha will travel to Roman Catholic, both at 7 p.m. Mountain View will play Patriot, Eastern will play at Georgetown Prep, and Phelps will face Ballou, all at 7 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 6 p.m., respectively.

Coolidge will play at Southern (NC) at 7 p.m., and Bullis will travel to St. Christopher's at 6:30 p.m. HD Woodson will face Martinsburg, and Bishop McNamara will play at Maury, both at 7 p.m. Kennedy will play Richard Montgomery, and Scott Abraham and Natalie Spala will be live at the Games of the Week.

Park View will play Manassas Park, and Winters Mill will face Watkins Mill, both at 7 p.m. Central will play at Reginald Lewis at 4 p.m., and Douglass Baltimore will play Fairmont Heights at 6 p.m. (game to be played at Spingarn High School). Colonial Forge will play Gainesville, and High School football teams from DC, Maryland, and Virginia will continue their season this week.
