Wedding cancellation: Kat calls off the nuptials on EastEnders!
On the bustling streets of Walford, it's time for another EastEnders spectacle (7:30pm, peep our TV Guide for details). The highly anticipated wedding of Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) is here, but tensions are running high.
Their teenage son, Tommy (Sonny Kendall), has been delving into some questionable content on the family computer – adult entertainment, no less – causing a commotion amid the wedding preparations. Alfie, in an attempt to salvage the situation, promises Kat a heart-to-heart with Tommy.
Unfortunately, life in Walford never seems to go according to plan. A series of mishaps keeps Alfie engrossed, leaving him unable to fulfill his promise to Kat. As the wedding day approaches, Kat gets cold feet, throwing their marriage into doubt. Shane Richie, who plays Alfie, teases, "It's a total disaster for Alfie. He's juggling numerous tasks, dropping more than a few. But hey, what's a Walford wedding without some drama, right?"
Meanwhile, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) and her partner Patrick (Rudolph Walker) are grappling with their own set of problems. Post the traumatic ordeal with Pastor Gideon Clayton, things haven't been the same between them. Yolande opens up to Patrick's daughter Denise (Diane Parish) about the strain in their relationship and seeks her help in navigating this crisis.
