This time, winds will shift to northwesterly and pick up a bit more, hovering around 9-14 m/s. The mercury will creep lower at nighttime, settling between 11-13°C, while the highs climb to 22-24°C during the day.

Almaty's Warm and Stormy Days Ahead

Those in Almaty should also be gearing up for a wetter-than-usual weather period.

June 29: No rain is expected, but a steady easterly breeze will blow in at wind speeds of 3-8 m/s. The thermometer will read 18-20°C at night and a scorching 31-33°C during the day.

June 30: Nighttime showers and thunderstorms are forecasted, with winds blowing in from the southwest at 3-8 m/s, gusting up to 13 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will remain fairly constant at 18-20°C, while daytime highs will hit 28-30°C.

Cyclone Hits Kazakhstan

Southern regions are expected to experience strong rain, hail, and winds, even though the south and southeast may stay fairly dry. Dust storms are predicted in the southern areas as well.
