Dubai Weather Alert: Foggy Start to the Week with Rain Possible
Get ready for a foggy start to your week in Dubai! The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued patches of fog alerts across Dubai and Abu Dhabi this morning.
According to the NCM, foggy conditions were reported over Al Fayah Road and Arjan, in Abu Dhabi this morning, resulting in a potential decrease in visibility until 8am.
As for the rest of the day, expect clear to partly cloudy skies with some convective cloud formations eastward and northward of the country. These clouds may bring rainfall in the afternoon, particularly over the eastern mountains.
The weather is also expected to be humid tonight and on Monday, June 9, with possible fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas.
Temperature-wise, highs will range between 37 and 41 degrees Celsius, while lows will be between 24°C and 29 degrees Celsius. Winds will be light to moderate, with speeds reaching up to 35 km/hr over coastal and islands, and internal areas. Winds in the mountain region, however, will reach up to 40 km/hr.
Looking ahead, chances of rainfall and fog are expected to decrease in the second half of June. Daytime temperatures are forecast to increase as the month progresses, particularly after the summer solstice, while winds are anticipated to become more variable with the retreat of the Siberian high pressure system.
