In the upcoming Premier League fixture, Liverpool will host Bournemouth at Anfield this weekend. The Reds are favourites to secure a win, according to the Opta win probability, with 69.7% chances, while a draw is predicted at 16.9% and a Bournemouth victory at 13.4%.

Bournemouth's £40million record signing, Evanilson, has yet to find the back of the net in his first three league games, despite having seven shots on goal. On the other hand, Antoine Semenyo has started the season impressively for Bournemouth, recording three goal involvements (two goals and one assist) in his first four Premier League games.

The Cherries had a chance to take the lead against Chelsea in their last Premier League fixture, but Evanilson's spot-kick was saved. Semenyo, however, scored in the third minute of Bournemouth's 3-1 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield last season.

Liverpool have been in impressive form this season, with no side facing fewer shots or conceding fewer goals than them in the Premier League. They have also won nine of their last 10 Premier League meetings with Bournemouth, with the exception being a 1-0 away defeat in March 2023.

Mohamed Salah has scored nine goals in nine Premier League appearances against Bournemouth and could reach double figures against them this weekend. Liverpool have the lowest expected goals (xG) against and fewest shots on target faced in the Premier League this season.

Arne Slot, Liverpool's manager, aims to utilize set-pieces in the game against Bournemouth. While data on Liverpool's performance in set-pieces under Slot in the Premier League is not extensive, it is known that Liverpool under Slot has been characterized by structured buildup play and creating overloads in midfield, rather than relying predominantly on set-pieces.

Bournemouth have had more shots than Brighton and Manchester City in the Premier League this season, with an average of 16.3 shots per game, their highest in a single top-flight campaign. However, they have only won two of their 29 Premier League away games against teams starting the day in the top four.

Liverpool lost to Nottingham Forest last Saturday, marking the first loss of Slot's era since taking over from Jurgen Klopp. Despite this, Liverpool have an impressive record at Anfield, losing just one of their previous 58 home games in the Premier League.
