Who Can Join the ADH OPEN 2024?
All students attending German universities are cordially invited to ride the waves at the ADH OPEN. And if you're a 2023 grad, you won't be left out either. The event offers multiple competition formats for Open Men and Women, as well as Longboard Men and Women.
Ready to Sign Up?
Registration for the contest is done through your university sports facilities or sports offices of the ADH member universities. Non-member unis can register via email. Keep in mind the deadline is May 3, 2024.
The participation fee is 50 €, which includes an official T-shirt. Additional classes will run you an additional 45 € each.
New Formats and Deals in 2024
This year, things are heating up with the introduction of the "Aloha Cup" contest format, a team competition alongside the classic competition. And for the first time ever, ADH Panel Talks will take place to discuss various topics surrounding surfing and university sports.
Surf Courses, Equipment Rentals, and Accommodations
- Surf courses (5 x 1.5 hours including theory) for all levels are available for 159 €.
- Advanced surfers can rent a board for a week for 80 €.
- Wetsuits can be rented for 40 € with sizes from XS to XXL.
Accommodations in beach bungalows, situated right at the Hossegor/Seignosse surf hotspot, are available for 2 to 6 people. Prices range from 589 € for 2 people up to 979 € for 6 people, while single bookings in a shared bungalow go for 219 €/week.
How to Get There
The drive is recommended for maximum flexibility, but if you'd prefer public transit, the nearest train stations are Dax or Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse. Biarritz and Bordeaux airports are nearby, with shuttle services available upon request.
Eating Well at the ADH OPEN 2024
There are numerous dining options in and around Seignosse, such as Le Surfing for breakfast and dinner, Louvine for a poke bowl, or a tasty burger from the on-site snack stand.
Cancellations and Rebookings
Cancellations prior to May 1, 2024, come with a 50 € fee. Rebookings and name changes cost 25 €.
