Get ready for some footie drama! The fate of Borussia Dortmund's talented winger, Jamie Gittens, might be decided sooner than we think. While FC Bayern Munich has shown interest, it seems English Premier League giants FC Chelsea might have the upper hand. According to online sports outlet, "The Athletic," Gittens is on the verge of signing a whopping seven-year contract with the Premier League club.

Dortmund and Chelsea reportedly came to terms during the Club World Cup. The talks could potentially leave Bayern empty-handed. But don't count Bayern out just yet—they're especially looking for a winger and might find themselves back in the game if negotiations with Chelsea don't pan out.

BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke squashed rumors of a meeting with Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl, stating categorically, "Nope. That report is nothing but a complete fabrication." Previously, Sebastian Kehl, Dortmund's sporting director, also denied any contact with Eberl.

Meanwhile, BVB boss Lars Ricken shared his thoughts on Gittens. "His connection to the club is undeniable—even if the move to Chelsea didn't materialize," Ricken told Sky. "Of course, there was an offer, but it came too late for us to react." Ricken emphasized the club's policy: "We don't sell our players on the cheap, and that includes Jamie."

The 20-year-old Gittens scored an impressive 12 goals in 48 games last season, including four in the Champions League, making his potential and value clear for all to see. Given his performance, Dortmund is reportedly demanding a claim of around €65 million (£55 million).
