Watch 'Snow White' from home: Streaming details and release date
Catch the buzz around the live-action absorption of Snow White onto Disney+, the latest remake of a classic Disney animated flick! After a lackluster stint in theaters, you can now delve into this fresh twist on an old favorite without leaving the comfort of your couch.
Starring Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) in the titular role and Gal Gadot (Heart of Stone, Wonder Woman 1984) as the Wicked Witch, this modern retelling also sees the ink-stroked characters transformed into flesh-and-blood counterparts. Screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson breathes new life into the classic tale, giving it a contemporary touch and stirring a sense of nostalgia that's far from predictable.
Our resident movie buff, Kristy Puchko, writes, "Wilson's take on Snow White offers a fresh perspective, a familiar yet enchanting story with a dose of unexpected delight."

Is Snow White Worth the Watch?
Since its inception, this modern recreation of Snow White has been shrouded in controversy. To add fuel to the fire, Peter Dinklage's reservations regarding the portrayal of dwarves in the movie led to a switch from actual actors to CGI abominations. Despite these potholes, our film editor grants the adaptation a thumbs-up, calling it both surprising and entertaining, stating it to be a magical cinematic adventure.
Although audiences stayed away from theaters due to the conundrum, Snow White currently boasts a 72% rating on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of its digital release. However, most critics didn't find it as enjoyable, bestowing the film a paltry 40% rating.
We encourage you to form your own opinion on this contemporary reinterpretation of 1937's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. After all, an apple a day might keep the doctor away, but a journey into this magical world could satisfy your inner child!
