Warwick, RI Tops WalletHub's 2025 Safest Cities in US Ranking

WalletHub, a finance-focused website, has released its annual ranking of the safest cities in the US. The list considers various factors, including crime rates, health and safety, security measures, economic stability, and education. This year, Warwick, Rhode Island, tops the list, followed by Burlington, Vermont, and Overland Park, Kansas.

Warwick leads the pack with the lowest risks of natural disasters and the fourth-lowest percentage of residents without health insurance. It also has the third-lowest number of aggravated assaults per capita and the seventh-lowest number of thefts per capita. Additionally, it boasts the lowest risks of hail, wildfires, tornadoes, and earthquakes. Burlington, meanwhile, has the 26th-lowest murder rate and 25th-lowest number of rape offenses, along with a minimal risk of natural disasters. Overland Park, Kansas, impresses with the 14th-lowest unemployment rate and the fifth-lowest pedestrian death rate in the US.
