Warner Chappell appoints Austen Adams as President of its Nashville division
Austen Adams Takes Over as President of Warner Chappell Music's Nashville Operation
Austen Adams, a seasoned music industry professional, has been named President of Warner Chappell Music's Nashville operation. Adams brings a wealth of experience from a diverse career in music publishing, artist management, and entertainment law.
Adams joins Warner Chappell from Big Loud, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer of its publishing and label divisions for six years. During his tenure, he played a key role in the company's significant growth, overseeing its expansion from fewer than 30 employees to over 100. Notable artists such as Morgan Wallen, Hardy, Miranda Lambert, Ernest, and Stephen Wilson Jr. were among those he worked with. The company's success under his leadership included 90 No. 1 hits and three Grammy Awards.
Before joining Big Loud, Adams worked at the law firm Dickinson Wright Music, honing his legal skills that are valuable in the entertainment industry. Prior to his law career, he was involved in day-to-day artist management, providing him with insights into the creative and business aspects of the music industry.
In his new role at Warner Chappell, Adams plans to champion storytelling, protect creativity, and help songwriters share their visions in bold and impactful ways. He takes over the role previously occupied by Ben Vaughn, who passed away in January. Adams admires the work done by Vaughn and the Warner Chappell team and believes in the importance of songs and songwriters.
Guy Moot and Carianne Marshall, co-chairs of Warner Chappell, express excitement about Adams' contribution to Warner Chappell and the songwriting community. They look forward to working with him as he begins his role effective September 15.
