Initial Warmth Emerge: - Warm weather is returning.

After a rainy spell that interrupted summer weather in Germany, the country is expected to experience a return of sunshine and high temperatures in the coming days. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the summer conditions will last at least through the first two weeks of August.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms affected southern Germany from late July to early August, causing a significant "summer monsoon" weather pattern [1]. However, by early August, this rainy period is ending, and the DWD forecasts a return of summer conditions with temperatures reaching up to 32°C in regions like Bavaria [4].

On Friday, temperatures in southern Germany (south of the Main and Moselle rivers) will exceed 30 degrees Celsius, with the sun shining all day [2]. Along the coast, it will be slightly cooler with temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. In the north of Germany, it will remain changeable with isolated showers, brief thunderstorms, and temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius [3].

Meteorologist Marco Manitta from DWD predicts that the sun will shine almost throughout the country on Thursday, with temperatures rising into the summer range between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius across most of Germany [5]. However, there is a possibility of local thunderstorms in Germany from Friday to Sunday, especially in the west and south [6].

On Wednesday, southern and central Germany will have sunshine and maximum temperatures up to 26 degrees Celsius, while the weather in the north of Germany is different, with cooler and cloudier conditions [7]. In the far north of Germany, it will be cooler and cloudier on Friday, with maximum temperatures of 21 to 27 degrees Celsius [8].

In summary, after a rainy interruption in late July and early August, summer weather is returning to Germany. The DWD does not give a precise final date for summer weather, but the outlook suggests summer will persist for at least the early to mid-August period [4]. It is important to note that there is a possibility of local thunderstorms from Friday to Sunday, especially in the west and south.

The Community policies within Germany's employment sector should address the need for flexibility in work arrangements, as the forecasted return of sunshine and high temperatures may prompt employees to seek outdoor activities during working hours.

Weather-forecasting agencies must closely monitor the potential for local thunderstorms, especially in the west and south of Germany, as these could disrupt the anticipated continuation of summer weather throughout the country.
