Warm Season, Melodies Under Starlit Canopy

The Detmold Summer Stage is set to host an exciting three-day event, promising a vibrant mix of live music, urban vibes, and festival atmosphere from July 31st to August 2nd, 2025.

On the first day, music enthusiasts can look forward to performances by M. Byrd and Mina Richman. M. Byrd, a German musician, brings a unique blend of American road movie soundtracks and indie influences, reminiscent of The War on Drugs or Phoebe Bridgers. Mina Richman, a German-Iranian musician, offers a soulful mix of folk, indie, hip hop, and her debut album 'Grown Up' explores personal and societal themes.

On the same day, at 6:30 PM, the stage will welcome the KNUD Trio, a German jazz trio consisting of Jona Hahn (piano), Kevin Hemkemeier (bass), and Jonathan Schierhorn (drums).

The following day, on August 1st, the spotlight shifts to Da Cruz, a musician from Switzerland and Portugal. Da Cruz's music is an explosive fusion of Bossa Nova, Afrobeat, and electronic club aesthetics, sometimes light and playful, other times heavy and uncompromising. This versatile artist moves beyond folkloric clichés, bringing a new form of urban world music to the stage.

Gallowstreet, synonymous with an unmistakable brass sound that transcends genre boundaries for over a decade, will perform on the final day of the event. Their latest album, 'A Trip Worth Making' (2024), showcases their stylistic versatility and knack for captivating arrangements, never falling into routine. Gallowstreet's sound is a powerful fusion of classic American brass band influences, urban grooves, hip-hop attitude, funk vibes, disco shine, and driving house rhythms.

Hans im Glück from Detmold combines hip-hop with jazz, funk, and urban poetry. The KNUD Trio's performance will be a treat for jazz lovers, while Da Cruz's music sometimes is light and playful, sometimes heavy and uncompromising, delivering a powerful energy that quickly evolves into an intense, genre-crossing journey through soundscapes.

Admission to the Detmold Summer Stage is free, making it an accessible event for all music lovers. The event lineup offers a variety of genres, including Afro-Brazilian rhythms, singer-songwriter vibes, danceable electro-beats, laid-back jazz, and powerful brass sounds.

The Detmold Summer Stage will take place on Detmold Market Square from July 31st to August 2nd, 2025. Don't miss out on this musical extravaganza!
