Wanted individual defies house arrest, ventures to central station and is apprehended under police custody (BPOLI-WEIL)

A 53-year-old German national was arrested by the Federal Police at Freiburg im Breisgau main station on September 15, 2025. The arrest was made during a routine check by the Federal Police.

The man was suspected of trespassing at the Freiburg im Breisgau main station. According to reports, he had resisted enforcement officers, leading to a fine of 2,000 euros. However, the man had neither paid the fine nor served the substitute imprisonment, resulting in an arrest warrant being issued by the public prosecutor's office.

The man was previously traveling on a Euro City train on the route from Prague to Dresden before being stopped by the Federal Police on Monday evening. Following the arrest, the man was taken to a detention facility for further investigations.
