RTL Remembers Deceased Actress - Wanda Perdelwitz, Großstadtrevier Star, Dies at 41 After Bicycle Accident
German actress Wanda Perdelwitz, best known for her role in Großstadtrevier, died in October 2025 at the age of 41. Her death followed injuries from a bicycle accident. Colleagues and fans later honoured her in a special TV tribute.
Born in East Berlin in 1984, she grew up in a family of actors. Her parents, Heidrun Perdelwitz and Reinhard Hellmann, were both established performers. She went on to become a familiar face on German television over two decades.
Perdelwitz first gained widespread recognition as police officer Nina Sieveking in the ARD series Großstadtrevier. She played the role from 2012 until 2022, earning a loyal following. After leaving the show, she did not take on any leading roles in film or television.
Before Großstadtrevier, she appeared in guest spots on popular series like SOKO Köln and The Dream Ship. In 2024, she joined the cast of Behringer and the Dead, playing former detective Charly Behlke. Her final episode, titled Rivus, was scheduled to air on March 10, 2025.
News of her accident reached co-star Antoine Monot during filming. He later recalled learning of her death the following day. Months after the tragedy, RTL broadcast a posthumous tribute to her on Behringer and the Dead.
Perdelwitz's final on-screen appearance aired as planned in March 2025. The tribute episode marked the end of her career, which spanned guest roles, a decade-long stint on Großstadtrevier, and her recent work on Behringer and the Dead. Her death left a gap in German television, particularly among fans of crime dramas.
