Wädenswil's Energy Center Au to Start Construction in Late 2025
Construction of the Energy Center Au in Wädenswil is set to commence in late 2025, aiming to harness Lake Zurich's renewable energy for district heating by the end of 2026.
The project will unfold in phases over two years. Initially, underground drilling for the lake water pipeline will take place from October 20, 2025, to March 2026. Following this, civil engineering work for the energy center is scheduled from March to May 2026. Construction work for the building and surroundings of the energy center will begin around June 2026 and continue until fall 2027. Technical plant construction is planned for spring 2027.
The Energy Network Wädenswil, set to begin construction on October 20, 2025, will supply properties with heat from Lake Zurich. Initially, city center and Au properties will be gradually connected from late 2026.
The Energy Center Au project in Wädenswil is well underway, with a clear timeline until fall 2027. Lake Zurich's renewable energy will soon warm homes in the city center and Au, thanks to the Energy Network Wädenswil.
