Voting for the Council Members
Detmold, Germany - The Integration Council in Detmold is gearing up for its upcoming election, scheduled for Sunday, September 14th. The council, which advises the city council and administration, organizes its own events, and cooperates with the state integration council, has announced a series of information sessions to help residents understand the election process and the role of the Integration Council.

The first information event about the Integration Council election will take place on Wednesday, May 14th, at 5:30 PM in the Reconciliation Church on Hiddeser Berg, Martin-Luther-Straße 39. Further information sessions are planned for Thursday, May 15th, at 5:30 PM at the Kleingaertnerverein Kampwiese in Detmold-Herberhausen, another on Wednesday, June 11th, at 5:30 PM at the city portal's meeting center, Paulinenstraße 65, and the last one on Thursday, June 12th, at 5:30 PM at the AWO in Heidenoldendorf in the old primary school, Niedernfeldweg 6.
Eligible to vote in the Integration Council election are foreign nationals and stateless persons residing in Detmold, naturalized persons, Germans with dual citizenship, and Germans who have acquired citizenship by birth in the country. Detmold residents of any origin, at least 18 years old and having their primary residence in Detmold for at least three months, can be elected to the Integration Council.
The Integration Council represents the interests of Detmold residents with a migration background and focuses on common topics such as anti-discrimination work, educational issues for children with a migration background, and dialogue between cultures.
