German volleyball champions, the Berlin Recycling Volleys, have added another youngster to their professional squad - 20-year-old Maximilian Treiter, formerly of VC Olympia Berlin. The announcement, made by the Volleys, has the promising Libero joining the record champions, having shown consistent performances during his time with Olympia.
Hailing from the heart of Berlin, standing tall at 1.88 meters, Treiter embarked on his volleyball voyage at Berliner TSC before nesting at VC Olympia for the past four years. His initial role was as an outside attacker, but his transition to the defensive specialist position, that of a Libero, necessitated some time for adjustment, as Treiter frankly admitted, "I had to take some time to adapt, but it proved to be the right move, even though occasionally I yearn for the thrill of serving."
Part of a growing wave of youth talent, Treiter's promotion follows the footsteps of Arthur Wehner, solidifying the club's dedication to fostering local talent and setting the stage for a dynamic future. Although initially challenged, Treiter's impressive debut season as a Libero earned him recognition and propelled him into the Volleys' first team.
Treiter's promotion to the first team of the Berlin Recycling Volleys signifies the club's commitment to nurturing local youth talent, following in the footsteps of previous promising players like Arthur Wehner. A product of Berlin's volleyball scene himself, Treiter has demonstrated his versatility and potential after transitioning from an outside attacker to a Libero, showcasing his skills in sports during his consistent performances with VC Olympia Berlin.
