Volleyball playoff outcomes and matchups for high school boys' teams revealed

FRIDAY'S RESULTS
SECOND ROUND
DIVISION 3
Tesoro took out Harvard-Westlake in a dominating 3-0 sweep, leaving no doubt who's the boss. Los Alamitos and San Marino entered a heated battle, but it was Los Alamitos that came out on top with a nail-biting 3-0 victory. San Marino, despite losing, showed they've got the guts to push top teams to the brink. North Torrance, Warren, Santa Monica, Orange Lutheran, Mission Viejo, and Vista Murrieta also clinched their spots in the next round.
DIVISION 5
Newbury Park and Oak Park roared their way into the quarterfinals, while Esperanza and California played a thriller, ultimately ending in a victory for California. Rancho Alamitos, Vista Murrieta, La Palma Kennedy, and La Quinta also secured their wins. Wiseburn-Da Vinci, Rancho Verde, Saugus, and El Rancho will play on Monday to determine the remaining quarterfinalists.
DIVISION 6
Rio Hondo Prep, Quartz Hill, Brentwood, and Alta Loma played solid matches to advance, while the duel between Hawthorne MSA and Garden Grove was a nail-biter that MSA managed to win.
DIVISION 7
Lakewood, Brea Olinda, San Jacinto, La Serna, Jurupa Valley, and Brentwood locked down their victories, while several matches, like Hawthorne MSA versus Garden Grove, were battles to the very end.
DIVISION 8
Alta Loma clinched their spot in the next round, leaving us waiting for Monday's match between Duarte and San Jacinto Valley to determine the other quarterfinalist.
DIVISION 9
Heritage and CAMS dominated their matches, leaving Duarte and San Jacinto Valley to play on Monday for the final spot in the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Firebaugh, Downey Calvary Chapel, Whittier Christian, Beverly Hills, Yeshiva, and Acaciawood also claimed their wins.
SATURDAY'S SCHEDULE
DIVISION 4
Expect some exciting matches as Corona Santiago takes on Woodcrest Christian, Crescenta Valley faces Westlake, Western dukes it out with Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, Santa Barbara meets Santa Ana Foothill, Fontana faces Dos Pueblos, Thousand Oaks squares off against Crean Lutheran, Sage Hill battles Pasadena Poly, and Long Beach Wilson goes head-to-head with Royal.
DIVISION 6
Corona Centennial goes up against Village Christian, Westminster La Quinta takes on Oxford Academy, Rancho Cucamonga clashes with OC Pacifica Christian, La Canada faces Laguna Blanca, Yucaipa challenges Anaheim, El Toro locks horns with Norwalk, and Avalon hosts Orange Vista in this round.
DIVISION 7
Aquinas squares off against San Gabriel Academy, while Miller takes on Lancaster Desert Christian, Highland meets Katella, Nuview Bridge battles Southlands Christian, Century faces Magnolia, and Century heads to Willows School to duke it out against Orange Vista.

California, a noted sports powerhouse, demonstrated their prowess in the Division 5 playoffs, securing a thrilling victory over Esperanza. In Division 9, Whitney from San, along with Heritage and CAMS, dominated their matches. On Friday, Tesoro from California, winners of the Division 3 title in 2019, showcased their skills once again, taking out Harvard-Westlake in a dominant 3-0 sweep.
