Vladivostok's TvoiFormat Dance Festival Showcases Rising Talent in Primorsky Territory

A vibrant dance festival took place in Vladivostok on March 25, 2023, drawing hundreds of young performers. The TvoiFormat project, hosted by the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), showcased talent from across Primorsky Territory as part of the Russischen Frühlings celebrations. Among the participants was Fasol, a model ensemble from Vladivostok making its festival debut this year. The competition brought together over 30 dance groups from the region, split into two age-based categories: school teams and college/university students. Dancers competed across five styles—Street dance, Contemporary dance, Stage dance, Stylized folk dance, and Dance show—highlighting the event's focus on diversity and scale.

A panel of experts judged the performances, including Alena Kocheva, Natalia Vagonova, Alexander Agafonov, and Vlad Kim. Their evaluations determined the winners in each category. Organisers noted that this year's festival stood out for its expanded scope and variety of genres. The event was a collaborative effort, supported by the national *Youth and Children* project. Key organisers included the Youth of Primorye Autonomous Nonprofit Organization, the Primorsky Krai branch of the Russian Union of Youth, the regional chapter of the Movement of the First, Vladivostok State University, and FEFU itself.

The festival provided a platform for young dancers to display their skills and creativity. With Fasol and other ensembles participating for the first time, the event reinforced its role as a key cultural gathering in the region. The winners will now advance to the next stages of the Russian Student Spring competition.
