Vladivostok's towering 55m Ferris wheel delayed until June 2026

A new Ferris wheel is taking shape in Vladivostok's Minny Gorodok Park. Once completed, it will stand as the tallest in the region at 55 metres high. Construction has faced delays, with the ride now set to open in June 2026—three years later than originally planned. The Ferris wheel was first announced for a July 2023 launch, alongside other park attractions. That date passed without completion, and the full attractions zone is now expected by September 2026. The wheel itself, however, will begin operating in June 2026, following a technical launch in May.

Workers are currently assembling the first level of its six load-bearing support structures. These elements will form the base for the 24 gondolas, each designed to hold up to six passengers. At full capacity, the wheel will carry 144 people at once, with the potential to transport up to 1,440 riders per hour. Despite the delays, the project remains a key feature of the park's expansion. The Ferris wheel's height and scale will make it a standout landmark in the area.

The Ferris wheel's opening in June 2026 will mark a major milestone for Minny Gorodok Park. Its 55-metre height and capacity for 1,440 riders per hour will set it apart as the region's largest. The full attractions zone, however, will not be ready until September of the same year.
