Vladivostok’s Russian Bridge shuts down due to icy cables

Traffic on the Russian Bridge in Vladivostok was temporarily halted this afternoon. The closure began at 2:40 PM after ice formed on the bridge’s cables.

The regional government’s press service announced the suspension of all vehicle traffic to Russky Island. Officials warned drivers to avoid the area until further notice. Within hours, a miles-long queue formed as motorists waited for the road to reopen.

The temporary shutdown caused significant delays for commuters heading to Russky Island. With traffic now flowing again, authorities continue to monitor conditions closely. No further disruptions have been reported so far.
