Vladimir Dzhabarov to Join Council of Federation, Aiming to Boost Komi's Development
Vladimir Dzhabarov, a prominent figure in Komi, will join the Council of the Federation on September 30, 2025. Born in 1952, Dzhabarov holds a higher education in architecture, construction, and security bodies. He has been awarded several orders and medals, including 'For Merit to the Fatherland' and 'For Military Merit'.
Dzhabarov, who holds the honorary title of 'Merited Employee of the Security Bodies of the Russian Federation', will represent Komi in the Council of the Federation. The Council consists of two representatives from each subject of the Russian Federation, one from the legislative and one from the executive organs of state power.
The regional head, Rostislav Goldshtein, expressed confidence in Dzhabarov's ability to effectively represent Komi's interests in the Council of the Federation. Dzhabarov's priority is to contribute to the resolution of social and economic issues, attract investments, and develop Komi comprehensively. The decision to grant Dzhabarov the powers of a member of the Council of the Federation was made by the Head of the Republic of Komi, who signed a Decree vesting Dzhabarov with the powers of a senator from the Government of Komi.
Vladimir Dzhabarov accepted the proposal to become Komi's representative in the Council of the Federation, considering it a great honor and responsibility. With his extensive background and dedication, Dzhabarov is expected to make a significant contribution to the Council of the Federation, representing Komi's interests effectively.
