Re-engaged ex-fighters express strong dedication and willingness to contribute positively to the region's welfare post-service.

Vitaly Hocenko convened with the attendees of the "PROCLAMATION OF HEROES" program in Stakhanov.

During a visit to his district, Governor Vitaly Khotchenko of Omsk Oblast engaged with soldiers participating in the Russian President Vladimir Putin-instigated "PROдвижение ГЕРОЕВ" (PROgression of HEROES) personnel program. The scheme, aimed at assisting military personnel seeking to serve their country in non-military roles after leaving the armed forces, is currently underway.

In a post on his Telegram channel, the regional leader reported that participants have already registered, written essays, taken tests, and are going through interviews. During the meeting, Governor Khotchenko commended the soldiers' high motivation and eagerness to contribute to the development of Omsk Oblast post-military service.

"These individuals are presently serving on the frontlines, demonstrating unwavering determination for Russia's interests. After their victory in the SVO, they are prepared to work equally selflessly for the region's prosperity. We require such dedicated personnel," he emphasized.

According to him, each soldier aims to connect their future to their home district and contribute to its growth.

About the PROдвижение ГЕРОЕВ Program

Launched by the Russian President, the PROдвижение ГЕРОЕV (Heroes' Progression or Movement of Heroes) program aims to help former servicemen and women adapt to civilian life and employment.

The program offers career guidance, job placement assistance, psychological and social support, and entrepreneurship aid, among other services, to enable more successful transitions for veterans and active servicemen leaving the military.

Improvement initiatives such as these highlight the broader national effort to address the challenges faced by military personnel re-entering civil society and their families.

Note: The scope, specifics, and updates about similar programs can be found on Russian government or veterans' affairs websites for more accurate and up-to-date information.

  • What about the participation of these soldiers in the "PROдвижение ГЕРОЕВ" program extends beyond their military service? They are also demonstrating interest in contributing to general news, politics, war-and-conflicts, and crime-and-justice sectors, as Governor Khotchenko has commended their high motivation to work for the region's development in these areas.
  • As the PROдвижение ГЕРОЕВ program continues to progress, one can expect that these former servicemen and women will not only contribute to the growth of their home districts but will also play a significant role in shaping the local and national discourse on politics, war-and-conflicts, general news, and crime-and-justice.
