In the third stage of Paris-Nice, the team time trial proved to be a decisive moment for the overall race lead. Visma-Lease a Bike emerged victorious, with a time of 30:26.96, averaging an impressive 56.2 kmph.

Jonas Vingegaard, a member of Visma-Lease a Bike, finished the team time trial in fourth place, 24 seconds behind his triumphant team. Despite the slight setback, Vingegaard expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, stating that it was near perfect and that everyone was strong.

With this win, Matteo Jorgenson, another Visma-Lease a Bike rider, took over the overall race lead. Jorgenson, who won the Paris-Nice race last year, now holds a six-second advantage over Vingegaard in the General Classification (GC).

Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe completed the podium, finishing 24 seconds behind Visma-Lease a Bike. Florian Lipowitz of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe is currently in fifth place, 34 seconds behind Jorgenson.

Tim Merlier, previously holding the overall race lead, won the opening two stages of the race. However, his Soudal Quick-Step team finished the team time trial in eighth place, 34 seconds behind Visma-Lease a Bike.

UAE Team Emirates-XRG and Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe were the next two GC-focused squads to finish, with Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe 17 seconds behind UAE Team Emirates-XRG. Aleksandr Vlasov of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe is in fourth place, 31 seconds behind Jorgenson.

The general classification after stage three places Matteo Jorgenson in first place, followed by Jonas Vingegaard in second. The fourth stage of Paris-Nice will be a crucial test for these riders as they approach the first summit finish of the week.
