Thomas Greim, the visionary behind Germany's organic sector, has passed away at the age of 73. Greim, who founded Denree Group in 1974, leaves behind a legacy that has shaped the organic food and natural cosmetics industry.

Denree Group, now led by two of Greim's eight children, Mareike and Joseph Nossol, is a wholesale distributor and retailer of organic products. The company supplies organic supermarkets and operates its own retail stores under the Denn’s Biomarkt brand. With around 8,200 employees, Denree Group generates an annual revenue of approximately €1.5 billion.

Greim's influence on the organic sector spanned over five decades. He pioneered the growth of organic food and natural cosmetics in Germany, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

Thomas Greim's passing is a significant loss for the organic sector. However, his legacy lives on through Denree Group, now guided by his children, who continue to drive the company's success and commitment to organic products.
