Violent school brawl at Fairfield High leads to two arrests after police intervene
Body camera footage has been released showing police breaking up a violent fight at Fairfield High School. Officers were called to the school shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday after reports of multiple students involved in an altercation.
The incident led to two arrests, though no injuries were reported among students or staff. Police arrived to find a chaotic scene. One student had already been taken to the school office, while a second continued fighting. A school official trying to intervene was attacked by one of the students.
An officer stepped in and used distraction strikes to subdue the aggressive student, who had hit the officer and resisted arrest. During the struggle, two backpacks were seized. Inside, officers found sharp objects, including a screwdriver.
The first student had briefly escaped from the school office but was later caught. Both were arrested for causing a disturbance and resisting arrest. Despite the violence, no one was injured in the confrontation. The Fairfield Police Department has confirmed the arrests and released the footage. Both students now face charges related to the disturbance and resisting officers. The school has not yet commented on any further disciplinary action.
