The image shows an old black and white photo of a stage with a group of people on it. The text on the paper reads "Wiesbadener Festspiele 1902". The people in the photo appear to be dressed in traditional German clothing, with some wearing hats and others wearing cloaks. The stage is decorated with colorful lights and decorations, and the audience is cheering and clapping in the background.

Vinkrath's marksmen festival honors 39 years of leadership and tradition

Hundreds of participants and spectators gathered in Vinkrath for the anniversary marksmen's festival, featuring events near me. The event brought together all associations from the Nettetal-Grefrath district federation for the first time. A key moment came as Christian Anstötz, a long-serving leader, stepped down after 39 years on the board.

The festival celebrated the traditions of the marksmen's society with wide attendance. Members took part in five regional marksmen's festivals, including the federal event in Mönchengladbach and the 855th anniversary in Oedt. The society also hosted the district bird shoot for the Nettetal-Grefrath deanery, which organisers called a success.

Christian Anstötz, who served 17 years as Brudermaster, received a standing ovation. He was honoured with the title of honorary Brudermaster for his decades of dedication. After declining to stand for re-election, the society elected Sebastian Wulf as his successor.

The Nettetal-Grefrather district shooting federation, which includes around 40 to 50 affiliated clubs, also attended the district gala ball. The event marked a year of active participation in regional shooting traditions.

The festival highlighted the society's strong community ties and long-standing traditions. With a new Brudermaster now in place, the group looks ahead to future events. The gathering also reinforced the district's unity, as all member associations took part together for the first time.
